KATE COLLEY
PRINCIPAL
Kate Colley is a senior marketing communications and public relations leader specializing in tourism, hospitality, food and wine. She works with destinations, hotels, wineries, and culinary brands to shape stories and strategies that are distinctive, effective, and rooted in place.
​
Kate’s background includes more than a decade leading communications for Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver and Four Seasons Resort Whistler, senior media relations roles with Arterra Wines Canada’s VQA Western Estates portfolio, and early leadership of media relations for Destination Vancouver, where she helped establish Dine Out Vancouver Festival, now Canada’s largest dining event.

In 2020, Kate co-led the revitalization of the historic Naramata Inn, transforming it into a nationally recognized destination during a global pandemic, while also serving as President of Discover Naramata. More recently, she has led destination marketing and crisis communications for organizations including the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association and the BC Regional Tourism Secretariat, and directed a multi-partner international media campaign for the 2025 G7 Summit in Kananaskis.

Now in its 19th year, Hatch Comms focuses on a selective set of high-level consulting and strategy engagements in hospitality and tourism, including complex destination and global event initiatives. Kate works closely with owners and leadership teams to elevate brand and guest experience, and provides media relations for a small number of clients whose stories, products, or people she genuinely believes in.

Kate splits her time between Vancouver and Naramata.
