KATE COLLEY

PRINCIPAL

Kate Colley is a PR powerhouse. She eats, drinks, travels and lives her industry — all with her signature smile.

In her niche supporting lifestyle sectors, Kate’s resume reads like a who’s who of luxury hotels, wineries, destinations, restaurants, and products. A direct, results-oriented multi-tasker, her depth of experience and extensive global travels provide understanding and expertise needed for media relations locally, regionally and internationally.

In addition to running Hatch Hospitality, Kate spent much of the last four years as co-owner, operator and Director of Sales + Marketing for the reimagined Naramata Inn. Together with owners and partner Ned Bell, they elevated an historic, 12-room inn and restaurant from obscurity to obsession via marketing, sales, operations, guest services, community relations, human resources and incredible teamwork, during and following a global pandemic.

Kate was also the Director of Communications for Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver and Four Seasons Resort Whistler for ten years, and managed PR for Arterra’s VQA Western Estate Brands for five years. She co-created the country’s biggest restaurant festival, represented Four Seasons for the Vancouver and Whistler Olympic Games, has represented major Canadian regions, resorts and cities for many years, and most recently took an undiscovered wine village from obscurity to obsession while launching and funding a brand new DMO.

Kate prioritizes her family, health and fitness, is a mom to three energetic boys, and spends a surprising amount of time shuttling them to, and supporting them at, local hockey rinks, soccer fields and swimming pools.

A hospitality and tourism MVP, Krista Lochhead has been closely involved with every client, project, paragraph of fine print and challenging task at Hatch Hospitality for nearly a decade. From Four Seasons Vancouver and Whistler, to highlighting the very best of B.C. wines, launching a ski resort DMO, Chef Ned’s next-level Dinner in the Sky, Ocean Wise, and Vancouver Club ventures, as well as Naramata Inn and a variety of ambitious lifestyle projects.

Her global travels and first-hand experiences — seeing the Moais of Easter Island, dipping in the Blue Lagoon in Iceland, taking in the history and beauty of Sweden, visiting cultures a world away in South Africa, and one epic summer that took her from China through Southeast Asia to Australia — inform her perspective on global tourism products, travel trends, and expertise about the international travel market. Proactive, fun, kind and energetic, Krista brings creativity, organization and lots of  special sauce.
